Conservo is Australia’s first ‘servo’ to combine bio-fuels, healthy convenience items and eco-friendly products. This next-generation service station will allow people to contribute to a more sustainable future by safely replacing their regular fossil fuels with an ethanol petrol blend or a range of biodiesel blends for diesel engines.
Conservo: Driving Sustainability, is about sustainability, not just service stations. The vision behind Conservo is to promote and expand the use and acceptance of cost effective sustainable products and services in Australia. Conservo is a community space, which contributes to the infusion of sustainability into the Australian lifestyle, in an easy, coordinated seamless approach to how we live, work and play. Conservo is a declaration to business and government; put your money where your mouth is. Lets be responsible for our actions, lets be responsible for our time here in history. Let’s make decisions that we can look back on with pride when we are old. To be a sustainable society, we need not abstain from the fruits we are offered, but in eating them we must ensure the tree still bears fruits for our children.
Conservo began as a social goal for its founder, Daniel Epstein. Daniel wanted to bring sustainability into the mainstream, taking the guesswork out of living a sustainable lifestyle for the average Australian.
Daniel says, “There has been so much talk over the last few years about environmental issues. In some ways this is great; mainstream media are now saying things others have been on about for years. However, this is creating a type of hysteria in the general population, whereas I think we need to stay calm and make practical choices about how to repair the situation.”
Conservo is simply one step that calm, practical process. The fuels offered at Conservo are not the long-term solution, but they are a step in the right direction.
Daniel hopes Conservo will assist Australians in understanding that alternative fuels are no longer alternative, alternative energy is no longer alternative, that both are now the norm in many countries of the world, and can be in Australia, too.
Conservo wants the average Australian the opportunity to show the oil companies and government that it is time to offer renewable fuels in the mainstream, allowing Australians the opportunity to take the initiative with their consumer choice.
